Here is a collection of the instruments / music equipment that I own. I've always enjoyed making and listening to music. I've never formally published any music, though it's something I work on every now and then.

Guitars

Instrument Description

Martin-DX2E

By far my favorite guitar. I'm very partial to acoustic guitars as opposed to electric guitars. This one specifically is a dreadnought that has really nice sounding lows and mids. A gift bought for me from my grandmother during the time that I played guitar most (early high school)

Gretsch G5220

First niceish electric guitar. Bought for me by my uncle randomly, who also plays (but mainly collects) guitars. Admittedly I don't really use this guitar much, but when I do it's pretty easy to play and has a nice tone.

Catalina

Cool old electric guitar. Given to me by my partner's late father. One that I haven't really used much, but is a cool addition to my current collection. I have absolutely no idea what the model is, and couldn't really find anything on it online.

Ibanez RG2EX1

I'll add a picture for this guitar when I get a chance. I don't have it at my house currently, but I do still own it. This was my first ever guitar. It's pretty good as a starter, and works well for metal music, but doesn't really have a very nice tone.

Bass Guitars

Ibanez SR500

First instrument that I've purchased with my own money. I love this bass, it's got a great tone and feels really high quality. I also really like the finish.

Ibanez GSR200SM

First bass that I ever got. I believe this was a birthday present from my grandma, but it may have been a Christmas present. Pretty good starter bass, but it had some issues with adjusting the truss rod (pretty annoying fret buzz), and has some lower quality pickups. I still play it on occassion, but generally play my other bass.

Piano

Yamaha YPG235

First keyboard. I used this to get through a single piano class in college. I still would like to learn the piano. I'm able to play a few songs, but generally I don't know much music theory or have an good feel for the keys just yet. Once again, purchased by my grandma for the piano class.

Yamaha Upright

Piano given to me by my in-laws. It seems to be a pretty nice piano, and I practice on it sometimes. It's slightly out of tune after being moved to our house, but I'm not going to get it tuned until I feel a bit more confident in my piano playing.

Microphones

Sennheiser E935

Microphone I recently bought on a whim. I wanted to try recording vocals with this, but wasn't a huge fan of how it sounded. Probably because I need a pop filter lmao.

Audio Technica
AT2035

My primary microphone. I have this setup at my desk and is pretty much what I use exclusively for recording my voice, or just chatting in Discord. Really nice microphone that comes with a shock absorber.

Audio Interfaces / Mixers

Yamaha MG10XU

Cool mixer I bought to replace Voicemeeter. I really liked using Voicemeeter on Windows, but there wasn't really a similar equivalent that I could find on Linux, and I didn't want to get deep into the rabbithole that is pipewire. It's a bit overkill for my current recording setup, but I'd rather have too many channels than not enough.

Focusrite Scalett Solo
(Gen 3)

First piece of hardware I bought to record my guitar. Pretty nice and met all my needs, but I didn't really like how the monitor and headphones couldn't be controlled separately, so I moved to the 2i2.

Focusrite Scalett 2i2
(Gen 3)

Bought because I thought the solo was lacking some features, plus I like having the option for 2 XLR or Line cables. I bought this before I bought the Yamaha mixer, but I use it in conjunction with the mixer sometimes to record the combined output of the mixer.

Other Stuff

Fender Rumble 40

Amp I bought recently to replace a cheap amp that I've had since I was about 7. I don't remember the brand of the old amp, but it sounded super tinny and had basically no bass. This amp has a really nice sound, and definitely doesn't hold back on the lows and mids. I've never raised the volume past about 25% as that's loud enough to be uncomfortable in the room it's in. All around really versatile amp that's especially good for electric guitar and bass guitar.

Pedalboard Setup

I've never really been one for effects, but I'm starting out a collection at the moment. Pedals are so damn expensive though. For now, all I've got is a basic noise reduction, a distortion pedal, and a wah pedal. Eventually I'll get some more, but I'm not really in a rush at the moment.
